Short scene starring Oscar Perez and Jemwel Danao

Ever since I saw Oscar do this scene in class in L.A., I’ve wanted to shoot this scene! We finally did it! I think it turned out great, but there were things I missed. I really love the lighting in this though! And both actors did really well.

Latest scene for Jem, featuring Milica Pajic. Really proud of the outcome and had a great experience directing Jem and Milica. They were both open to direction and understood the scene. I do everything myself, but if I had an extra hand, the audio would have been much better! But pretty impressed with the Rode NTG4+

Btw, I did make it to Hollywood!!

We shot this months ago and I only edited it recently due to the other projects I was doing. But turned out well! Thanks so much to Christie Ikonomou for acting with me and Harry Tseng for directing!

Directing Showreels for Actors – Tom Molnar’s Scene

One of the things I have wanted to do for a long time was to create showreel scene for my fellow actors. Finally, I have started doing that with my new camera, the Canon C100! My idea of creating showreel scenes for actors is different to what I have seen showreel scenes to be like. Mine will be more dynamic, with enough rehearsals to make the scene pop. I will direct them until we have something great, instead of letting the actors direct themselves into a flat scene (which I have seen too many times).

I am proud of this scene and I’m super proud of Tom and Sett for their amazing attitude and performances!

My Play – ‘Life’s A Stage’

I have been keeping busy lately. Gabrielle Chan, who was in my short film ‘Sunny Side Up’ asked me to help on a production of hers. Her writer had to drop out and she had no-one to write the play. I am always down for a challenge and even though I have never written a play before, I had to return the favour. 

 

Well, I finished the play a few weeks ago and now I’ve taken over directorial duties for the play as well. We are in the middle of rehearsals and we are definitely moving in the right direction! Looking forward to opening night!
